Overview

Set in the 1970s, Breakfast on Pluto is a darkly comic story about a young transvestite growing up in Ireland. Patrick Braden (Cillian Murphy) is the illegitimate child of a small town Parish priest (Liam Neeson). Abandoned as a baby and aware from an early age that he was born in the wrong body, Patrick – or Kitten as he prefers to be called – survives with the aid of wit and charm, plus sweet refusal to let anyone and anything change who he is. In search of his mother, Kitten moves to London. Here, through a series of starkly humorous adventures, he discovers London’s dark underbelly and the truth about the big bad world. But will he find the love and happiness he so deserves…?
